Amy and Chris are one of those couples that move me and will undoubtedly stick with me. Their affection and energy tugged at my heart all day long. Typically, without truly knowing a client personally, I find shared interests and niceness endearing, and I like them. I have been incredibly lucky to have stylish, clever and thoughtful clients all around. Some couples, however, I can’t explain it. I just fall in love with them.

The blessing of being a wedding photographer is the intimacy of that delicate, important, yet unseen role in one of the most incredible days in a couple’s life together. It isn’t about cursory politeness and professionalism as much as knowing someone. Figuring them out. Seeing everything, saving it forever. Staring at a computer screen all day can be a lonely job, but days like Chris and Amy’s, they remind me why it’s worth it. Every bit of tedium, hectic scheduling, or unpredictable income couldn’t even balance the scale. Every click and every keystroke just reminds me that love is real and it’s everything.
