Yesterday’s wedding was fabulous!
Gita and Chris planned two weddings, one here in the Chicago area, where Chris is from, and one in Indonesia, where Gita is from. This was their first of two, and I felt so blessed to have been included.
Both the ceremony and reception were at the Holiday Inn in Willowbrook, which you may recognize from an earlier blog posts. Another one of my favorite couples, Whitney and Jeff, had their reception there. Gita and Chris held their ceremony in the atrium, which was stunningly beautiful. I am a definite fan of the location and can’t wait to do more weddings there. The food is excellent!
I know my husband-to-be doesn’t read my blog so I’m safe to say this, but Gita’s dress is incredibly similar to my wedding dress. They also had an amazing minister, whom I contacted about officiating our wedding before we decided to have a friend do the honors. In fact, I felt like Gita and I were a lot alike! This made shooting her wedding an absolute blast! Even more than usual!
Unlike me, however, both Gita and Chris were incredibly calm and easy going. Their calm swept over me, resulting in much less worry and fuss than I normally suffer with during a wedding. (Every night I dream of losing memory cards and oversleeping, though I’d do neither)
